【Plum Vase - Joy on the Eyebrows】【Jadeite Plum Vase Pendant】 This jadeite plum vase, with its vibrant, clear green color, is of old, fine jadeite. I am fortunate to have acquired it, and deeply moved. The vase has a narrow mouth and short neck, very broad shoulders, narrowing slightly towards the base, and a slightly fuller foot. Its small diameter is only proportionate to the slender branches of a plum tree, hence the name "plum vase." It can be used to hold fine wine or to display plum blossoms. It can be used as a wine vessel or an ornamental piece. This jadeite plum vase has an elegant shape and balanced proportions. Carved by a renowned artist, it features two magpies perched on branches in the center, their endearing expressions and plump figures symbolizing joy on the eyebrows. With just a few strokes, the piece is vividly depicted. Even more exquisite is the lid, carved from old blue-green jadeite, which opens with a screw mechanism, allowing for the placement of cherished items. The mechanism is ingenious, showcasing the craftsman's skill. Over 15 cm thick, it required considerable material. Such a beautiful piece is a blessing to have found; I share it with you all. This is a handmade, openwork, twisted jade bangle made of Hetian jade (sugar jade material), undyed, with natural sugar color from the old skin and material, possessing a good oily luster.
